In the new moon phase by March 1, 2014, the "CEDIC-Team goes to Chile" (Herbert Raab unfortunately could not attend). Reason for the trip was to photograph under good skyconditions objects of the southern sky and to observe. As destination, we chose the Astro Farm by Daniel Verschatse ( Hacienda Los Andes ), located close to the large telescopes such as SOAR, Gemini South, CTIO. We used the telescopes of Daniel Versatsche and took additional DSLR cameras and lenses that were operated on travel mounts. In the three weeks of our stay we have collected about 500 gigabytes of raw data.
On the following pages you will find in addition to our astro photos, pictures of the Hacienda, the Observatory and impressions of excursions in the surrounding area.
